The coolest wedding invite OR how to end the war

…Or how to see things differently. This speech inspired me a lot!
How see things in a different way, how to question things in a creative way and how to do the most amazing wedding invite EVER as well as how to end the war. This girl does it all.

Sneaky preview of work lately

Happy Easter Everyone!
Though I have mainly been brainstorming new ideas and concepts as well as feeding myself delicious cakes and coffees, I have also been doing a lot of make-up designs and great collaborations lately. And it seems like outdoor location has started too, which is extra exciting.
The sneaky preview below was a project with the great photographer Claire Huish and the fantastic Stylist Rosie Williams. Next to the tall beautiful model I look so very short.
I am looking forward to all the exciting work for this Spring and Summer.

Pastel Spring Pixie

image via Dashing Magazine, Make Up & Hair by Liv Lundelius

This morning I had some Yoga time in the sunshine through our living room window and painted my toe nails in pastels.
Yoga in the morning is a great exercise, and if you’d like to get started, you can use this great coupon for Patagonia gear to help you save.
Someone played the piano in our courtyard that someone has thrown out.
The latest issue of Dashing Magazine has been published this week.
I love the whole magazine and read it today for breakfast.
You can see above some of the shots of the hair and make up I have done for the Spring issue.
Now I am really in Spring mood. The sun tingels and looking at all these pretty pastels get’s me really excited. For Spring.

catching up with u!

photos by Clare-Louise for Tiarama, Dresses, Make Up & Hair by Liv Lundelius

I have been busy lately.
So I really feel I have to catch up with you guys.
I have recently worked a great photo-shoot for the great accessories label TIARAMA.
I have done Make-Up, Hair and the dresses for the shoot.
The talented founder Suzanne does all her unique pieces by hand and for her latest pieces she organized a fantastic photo-shoot with a magical team including the incredible photographer was Clare Louise.
We headed out far into the English country side to shoot in an amazing old mansion that was half refurbished half falling apart.
Thanks again to the whole team!

back to dirty dalston

photo via the great design platform Object Design League
We finally moved back.
Back to dirty Dalston (East London) in a brand new flat in our old beloved building.
There is still so much to set up and unpack and get to make it a real home, but it feels already fantastic.
There is so much light and space.
And I am having internet again, from tonight. Now we only need some plants and cutlery…
One week we have been constantly unpacking and building and I am bruised and exhausted.
But I am in love with this new place already.

new love

I mentioned already that I am starting a new career as make up artist,
at This Is Jane Wayne, I am blogging for a cool young German online magazine about my way to start something new and about beauty, have a look if you are interested.
As soon as I have decided to commit and to go through the door that just opened things keep falling in place.
A friend told me about a make up artistry competition that just came up at the right time, I practiced and worked hard on my entry and: I won.
The prize is, and that’s why it’s so exciting: A full time professional make up artist course at the well known Jemma Kidd Academy plus a full kit of make up with everything I will need incl. professional brushes.
IT IS INCREDIBLE! This new career just started with a BANG!
And I am more than excited to start.
I feel very very thankful and all warm and fuzzy inside.
You can see more pictures of my work here.
Thanks to the people who supported me in my decision!

Jewelry for generations

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you all celebrated well. I had a bad flu over the whole Christmas period so I haven’t been up for much. Now we are off to Australia for 3 weeks. I am so excited.
Pete Doherty and Rose Forde join Hannah Martin in designing a jewellery collection inspired by aspects of history and the future. I will try and prepare a few wedding posts for you. The latest I really liked:
The idea was to design durable and timeless pieces that could be handed down through the generations.
The collections consists of 15pieces including rings and cufflinks.

I like.

L’amour Fou & Happy Christmas

image via moviepostershop.com
It’s Christmas time. Time for big love stories. Time for movies.
Time for fashion inspiration.
The documentary about Yves Saint Laurent tells the story about
the love of his life Pierre Bergé.
It’s always good to have a creative partner in crime.
They have been a couple for 50 (!) years building their business,
sharing their creativity and supporting each other with love.
A documentary I am really looking forward to watching.
May you all have a wonderful Christmas time!
And here comes the trailer:

dreaming about: heavy metal from down under

all images courtesy of Stolen Girlfriends ClubI do feel like I am posting way too much about rings.
But I had share the heavy metal collection by the hip designers of
Stolen Girlfriends Club from New Zealand.
From golden bows over cool heart shapes to rebellious punk stud styles, their collection is definitely worth checking out.

Not only is the economy down under doing well and the weather is fantastic, now there are also more&more interesting labels, musicians and artists coming out.

I will be traveling to Australia in January for the first time and I am so curious and excited. I have a feeling I might want to stay.

mhmmm meringue rings

photo and rings via charlesandmarie.com

Designed to look just like a little meringue, these rings look absolutely uber-delish.
The German designer Tanja Hartmann used silicone to create those sweet rings. (No- this is not an engagement ring suggestion…)
The last time I had meringues was here. And they were addictive.
Are meringues the new cupcakes?

Bridal Bouqet !?

via Little Winter Bride

I like it!
And it reminds me that my new place in London still really lacks plants.
Now that London’s Autumn fully kicked in I spend more time inside I miss greens. And flowers.
We have awesome flower markets here in London and this weekend I will
go and create something wild and beautiful for our room!

How to wear a bikini in winter

I just received this stunning Quilted Bandeau Set by Mouille. The talented designer of Mouille that I featured on my blog before here sponsored this glamourous piece for me to review.

It’s rad. As a designer myself I can tell that the quality of the fabric as well as the production is excellent. It’s been ethically made in India and I love to support extraordinary emerging designers. This item is from the brand new 2011 collection. I totally dig the nude color.
The only problem: I want to wear it straight away. (and the current temperature in London is about 12degrees)
Maybe I should match it with my new vintage camel coat? And fake fur hat?

Bauhaus, Baby!

image via Magpie & Rye

I just spotted this fantastic little thing at Magpie & Rye and thought it’s worth sharing.
No rock, but a really cool and simple design.
The New Yorker designer Caitlin Mociun studied at the Rhode Island School of Design.
Mociun brings the Bauhaus notion of combining art and craft to her design work in textiles, clothing and jewelry. Her prints themselves are Bauhaus-inspired, and she draws inspiration from the plant photography of Karl Blossfeldt, a prominent artist from the Bauhaus movement.

Mociun continues to explore and integrate the ever-emerging technologies and critical conceptions of sustainability, environmentally healthy production and the role of the individual consumer in society at large.
Now that rocks!

Psssssssssssst, it will be 1,2,3! new styles-
And you had a little sneak-peak already.
Time is going superfast right now.
Can’t believe August is already over.
2010 is on speed. I have to go back to work.
See ya soon.

My heart My soul

found on brutal.jp
Liv loves hearts!
This pendant is just incredibly cool.
An extremely realistic heart pendant, molded using a 3D biological model of a human heart- the intangible kind, life, and feeling.
Wrapped around the heart is a ribbon, on which can request us to engrave any words that you wish.
The design is themed on the human desire to express a message; you can lay to words to rest, express your personal intentions, or express anything else from the heart.

P.S: How cool are these wedding bands? I would totally get them straight away.
Has everyone checked out my Blushless avant-garde wedding dresses?
New styles coming soon
