My Bali Boho Summer Makeup

Posted on: Tuesday, November 18, 2014

I packed my own makeup bag for my upcoming Bali trip.
The natural mineral products by Ere Perez are especially good for humid weather and the natural mascara is waterproof so I can dip into the pool as well.
Here is my go to, beachy boho makeup look for hot summer days with Ere Perez makeup:

Start by using a BB Cream or tinted moisturizer with sun protection as a base on freshly moisturised skin, see one of my favourites here.

Next I use Sun Halo it’s a versatile highlighting cream bronzer, (or should I say bronzing cream highlighter?) with the most delicious vanilla smell.
Apply on the high points of the face with fingers or stippling brush to get an instant glow and sunkissed touch.
Use it on the bridge of the nose, cupids bow on the cheek bone and brow bone. It looks great on the eye lid too.
On the cheeks I use Bondi Blush the perfect blush for sunkissed skin. (although it suits pretty much everyone)
Just a hint on the apple of the cheek applied with a blush brush or small powder brush.
A hydrating lipstick Moisturising Macadamia Lip Colour “Me” is the perfect natural lip colour in a caramel brown, which makes my teeth look very white. WIN!
If you have a fair complexion try the colour “YOU”. It also protects my lips from the harsh UV rays.
I use a hint of Sun Halo on the lid and apply volumising waterproof mascara in Black

Done! There you have it a super quick and easy summer holiday look. I hope you enjoyed it.

Mini dress-6

{I am Brigitte} from Simon Phinith on Vimeo.

October was Hunter Valley month, I went up there for weddings every single week and then one week even twice,
as we had a beautiful collaboration happening up there. The shoot was brought together by the talented Headpiece designer Yummii & I,
being inspired by Brigitte Bardot. Showcasing her work and the stunning Hunter Valley Weddign Venues: Roberts Circa 1876 and The Convent,
this shoot was pure fun to work on and we also had the most wonderful luxury accomodation and yummiest catering, a dream job! Thanks again to everyone involved.

Little getaways

Posted on: Wednesday, March 27, 2013

While I have been flat out with work lately, ranging from applying flawless wedding makeup to beautiful glowing brides, groomed and styled men fashion editorials and applied for some exciting opportunities.
I am a little flat out by now and can’t wait for our upcoming little Easter getaway.
We are going on a road trip down south to Jervis Bay in New South Wales.
Where you can watch dolphins and wales. We are staying in a little cottage right be water and I am daydreaming away already while typing this. Check out the cute little luxury cottages we are staying in!
I love how they are all painted in different beautiful colours and the interiors are looking amazing in all pastel tones too.
I am crossing all my fingers, that we will spot some dolphins!
For all of you that crave a little getaway or romantic weekend here in Sydney, I thought I share what we are up to right now.
And I can’t wait to pack my suitcase for this little trip. Only 4 more sleeps, and here is what I am packing:

Here is what I will bring with me for this little Autumn getaway:

Shoes: These are from Koah and look just like the perfect ankle boots for this trip.
A little Bag: French Connection Small Crossbody Bag.
Navy Nailpolish! This one is by Bio Sculpture.
A Hat: Jones New York Wide Brim Fedora
A natural lipstick: Like Nars Mayflower.

What are you up to this Easter?

Boho wedding & honeymoon shoes

Posted on: Friday, October 12, 2012

I am always a fan of unique weddings, and especially when it comes to shoes,
almost any style can look cool with a wedding dress.
Recently I came across this Australian wedding, photographed by the incredibly talented Tim Coulson have a look at it here.
If you love the style as much as I do, chances are you will like these comfy wedges by Clarks! They would look brilliant at a hippie-ish, boho or beach wedding.
Even if you are not a heels person, you would be able to dance all day and night them! And after the wedding, these can travel with you easily on your honeymoon.

I really love the wooden heel, which reminds me of clogs.
This is the first part of a little series I have been planning about alternative wedding shoes.

I just got myself a pair of the sandals above and planning on wearing them to many weddings this season. I am so excited about doing the makeup for weddings in Sydney and Australia.
I recently had some makeup trials in London with Australian brides, who are getting married back home and am looking forward to working with them.
A great start for the upcoming move.

I have only two more weeks in London, then I can put my sandals back on.
Just booked myself in for a little pedicure: Hooray for summer feet!

Hello Sunshine!
So good to see you. I have been trying to get in touch for a while.
I prepared to meet you at this sunny wonderful weekend off.
It was so good to hang out in the park with my summary friends:

+ fresh fruit (my favorite are mangoes and apples)
+ Vichy thermal water spray (amazing to set make up and refresh the skin)
+ big (round) sunglasses
+ a well fitting bikini/swimwear this one is by Lepel via lingerieplease they were kind enough to sent me a set to review and I LOVE IT.
+ a good book , (“A Woman’s Book of Yoga”, brilliant!)
+ non greasy sunscreen 30+ for the face
+ a hat

Thank you sunshine! I had the best time. See you soon.

Love Liv

How to wear a bikini in winter

Posted on: Monday, October 18, 2010

I just received this stunning Quilted Bandeau Set by Mouille. The talented designer of Mouille that I featured on my blog before here sponsored this glamourous piece for me to review.

It’s rad. As a designer myself I can tell that the quality of the fabric as well as the production is excellent. It’s been ethically made in India and I love to support extraordinary emerging designers. This item is from the brand new 2011 collection. I totally dig the nude color.
The only problem: I want to wear it straight away. (and the current temperature in London is about 12degrees)
Maybe I should match it with my new vintage camel coat? And fake fur hat?

Eloping Outfit!

both sponsored by and available via VERY
Dress: BLUSHLESS; Blazer: Liv’s own/Vintage

Here is to the ultimate eloping outfit:
I would highly recommend my new shoes as comfortable bridal flats, for all the “eff-the-heels-brides” that look for something cool and chic (and vegan).
They would make fantastic eloping shoes to just run out of the townhall and jump in the car!

Complete the look with the soft cotton skull & heart print scarf, that you can drape around your head to protect your hair while driving away in a convertible off to your adventurous roadtrip honeymoon ; )

share your bed with others!

An old-fashioned wedding ritual does still take place in THAILAND today.
Don’t be alarmed if you are led to the honeymoon suite to find
an old couple sitting on your bed waiting to greet you! The idea is that an old couple are evidence of a long and successful marriage. Their knowledge and good luck is then imparted to the newlyweds in a number of different ways. They may say how ‘lucky the bed feels’ hinting that the newly married couple will have children. Bags of rice and coins may be placed on the bed along with a number of other items all acting as symbols of prosperity and fertility. Tradition states that the newlyweds share their bed with these objects for the next 3 nights.
You may be relieved to hear that the old couple don’t also stay in the bed for 3 nights!

Ive started dreaming about foreign countries every night…
Its really fun actually, the few hours sleep I get each night

I am spending on adventures and beachholidays.
Thats maybe because of I can’t go on holiday this year, due
to starting my own fashion label, Blushless.
But thats kinda ok though, and one day I will be able to travel again.

The weather is currently so shitty in Berlin.
I really need some sun…
Got side tracked! Had a coffee break and I have done a little research on places
I want to be right now!!! Cup of Jo did a great Post about honeymoon hotels,
and The Rockstar Diaries just went for a 2 years anniversairy and birthday trip.
Oh well! Enjoy daydreaming, I have to go back to work ; )

P.S: Friends of Lav left for this exciting 6 month honeymoon, I already told you about.
