October was Hunter Valley month, I went up there for weddings every single week and then one week even twice,
as we had a beautiful collaboration happening up there. The shoot was brought together by the talented Headpiece designer Yummii & I,
being inspired by Brigitte Bardot. Showcasing her work and the stunning Hunter Valley Weddign Venues: Roberts Circa 1876 and The Convent,
this shoot was pure fun to work on and we also had the most wonderful luxury accomodation and yummiest catering, a dream job! Thanks again to everyone involved.

Today I am honored to share my favorite creative tools with everyone, over at Promise Tangeman’s blog.
She is a great inspiration and I love the idea behind her creative toolbox post.
Check out her blog and great work as graphic designer and artist.
I made a personal list of little things that keep my creativity as make-up artist going.
Thank you Promise for having me!

Ah well, almost.
I am indeed hanging out in the sun wearing bright clothes.
The model in the picture is Andrej Pejic, Marc Jacobs new Australian muse.
All the Marc Jacobs campaigns photograhed by Juergen Teller are so inspiring…
I will be back at the 22nd of January 2011, with loads of new inspiration a deep tan and tons of energy.

It’s Christmas time. Time for big love stories. Time for movies.
Time for fashion inspiration.
The documentary about Yves Saint Laurent tells the story about
the love of his life Pierre Bergé.
It’s always good to have a creative partner in crime.
They have been a couple for 50 (!) years building their business,
sharing their creativity and supporting each other with love.
A documentary I am really looking forward to watching. May you all have a wonderful Christmas time!
And here comes the trailer:
You’ve maybe seen part of my new BLUSHLESS moodboard here already.
I am in full work process right now. There are so many strong images
and ideas that will have a big influence on the new styles.
I have the idea of “giving each other/giving the bride wings” through marriage in my head, plus transformation, growing, apiring, explosions…
All translating into new shapes for wedding dresses!
I can’t stop draping and don’t get too much sleep this days, but very soon you will see the results.
Isn’t the white peocock a stunning animal?
I would love to rent one or a few for my photoshoot, but I guess that’s not gonna happen.
About this mix… My name is Ari. I work as a DJ and split my time between New York City and Boston. I am often booked to DJ at weddings in which the couples are looking for a very eclectic and distinctive mix of music. Recently, I was thrilled when a couple asked me to come up with a mix of retro french pop songs for their cocktail hour (one of my many record fetishes). Here’s a mix of some of the sultry, sexy french records I played from the likes of Bridget Bardot, Serge Gainsbourg and France Gall.
If you’re curious to hear some other mixes, I have a couple websites: http://www.beattrainnyc.com/

Fantastic Man just found his significant other!!!
The makers of the best mens magazin in the world: FANTASTIC MAN, published a womens mag as well.
I am sure you will find more rad (wedding-)fashion inspiration in there than in most bridal mags ; )
Liv is gentlewoman. What about you? What are your favorite magazines?
I can’t wait to be done with all moving hassle and find time for magazines and books.
I finally saw ALICE IN WONDERLAND and loved it.
It’s a really entertaining movie, well photographed and full of inspiring pictures.
I wish I would have been the costume designer.
My life currently feels like Alice In Wonderland.
So many things are happening, everything is changing,
everything is feeling so surreal. Time is running.
I am really waiting to wake up, realising I had a really weird dream.
Liv is visionary Alice facing ridiculous challenges.
Be what you would seem to be.
Liv believes in happy endings.
Thats what I said about my last collection and the inspiration.
So there it is: The happy ending of my favorite movie.
(Yes it comes with turkish subtitels, I couldnt find another version)
Fairys are so smart! I love this ridiculous sparkling fairy.
David Lynch is the greatest. If you are truly wild at heart you’ll fight for your dreams.
Don’t turn away from Love.
You can deal with everything and more!
Love this filmposter. Really fits into my moodboard.
I think Romy has an incredibly modern look on this one-
a bit Kate Moss like. I mean the other way around obviously.
I have to see this movie asap.
Nelly: “You’re following me, Paul.” Paul: “Why would I, is there any reason?” Nelly: “No, but if you keep it up, there will be.” (quote via IMDb)

Liv loves this song by Florence And The Machine.
Especially the Remix by XX.
I am listening to it a lot right now and think its really inspiring.
I am also in love with the style of Florence Welch.
Florence is of my new muses for the current collection
I shipped it today. Will be available from August….
Of course I will let you know when its online.
There was also a great photoshoot for a Berlin shop opening,
(will tell you more soon) and another one tomorrow.
As soon as the pictures will be ready I will post them.
The studio is in summer mood, since the cutest interns
arrived and we are working while listening to good music,
having drinks, coffee and lots of fruit.
A little reward for the little sleep I get in my job.
